Monday 25th January
Welcome back to a brand new and exciting week for Year 1. This week, and next, our focus will be on Geography. In particular we will be learning to name the 7 continents of the world, learn a little more about each one and identify all the oceans.
We have linked our project and English learning this week which will mean ensuring your child completes the project task before attempting the writing for that day.
On our website page you will find a blank map sheet, a key sheet and all of the fact page sheets you will need. If you can, please download and print them out however, if you do not have access to a printer please feel free to 'freestyle' and create your own fact pages with your child or you can email us and we will be happy to leave print outs for you in the main entrance.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your positive feedback so far and please let us know if you are having any difficulties with any of the aspects of home learning - we appreciate how hard it must be and we are here to support you.
We look forward to saying 'hello' to as many of your children as possible in the mornings via Teams but please be aware that as we strive to ensure safe guarding is of the highest priority we have changed our settings to only allow us to start the meetings. Please be patient with us as we get used to the new system of 'allowing' the children to enter the meeting and let us know if there are any problems with this.
We wish you all a lovely week and look forward to seeing and hearing about the children's learning.
As always, if you have any concerns or queries please do not hesitate to get in touch via email email@example.com
Miss Hedgecock, Mrs Davies and Mrs Drew
We will be using the class webpage, Flipgrid and the class emails to communicate with you about your child's learning.
Depending on circumstances, we will also be contacting you on a regular basis to offer support and check in on how your child is doing with their learning. We will be setting expectations for sharing learning so we can keep track of how your child is getting on while learning remotely.
