Our Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to St Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary School.

St Wilfrid’s is a popular school with a strong Christian ethos which has a long and successful history of serving its community.

At St Wilfrid’s we have a vision for all to ‘Shine as lights in the world’ and our children thrive at St Wilfrid’s because of this. Supported by the fantastic St Wilfrid’s team of staff and governors, our children develop a set of core skills they will need to continually grow in their academic, physical, emotional and spiritual development

Our school Values (Care, Hope, Aspire, Respect, Inquire, Share) underpin our broad and balanced curriculum, exposing children to challenging questions and allowing them to apply and develop their cognitive skills. This creates a successful learning environment where the dignity of each child is paramount. Our nationally reported results can be found here. https://www.stwilfrids-hh.school/web/pupil_performance/363087

We are blessed with extensive and beautiful grounds meaning that our curriculum is enriched through outdoor learning.  Our school building has two large classrooms per year group, including a purpose-built Early Years facility, as well as a newly refurbished computer suite and a well-stocked library. We have a large hall with a stage, and our second hall with its attached studio means that we are also able to offer high quality wrap-around childcare from 7am to 6pm.

Community lies at the heart of St Wilfrid’s: staff, parents, children, governors, volunteers and our local churches work together as a team to ensure that our children thrive and develop to be their best.

Our school warmly welcomes visitors.  To see us in action, please contact our school office to make an appointment.
