What a brilliant first day on the Isle of Wight — it had all the ingredients of a perfect start to a Year 6 adventure.
A smooth ferry crossing set the tone, with everyone enjoying time out on the deck, soaking up the sea breeze and excitement. On arrival at Little Canada, the group was welcomed by the ever‑cheerful PGL instructors who instantly made everyone feel at home.
The day was packed with activities that kept spirits high and energy buzzing: orienteering through the grounds, tackling the vertical challenge, dodging and diving in archery tag, and soaring through the air on the zip wire. Every activity brought laughter, teamwork, and a few proud moments of bravery.
Dinner was a feast — veg chow mein, fries, pasta, chicken with herbs, jelly and more. With so many choices, everyone found something they loved.
The evening rounded off with fun team games, the perfect way to wind down before settling in for the night.
A fantastic first day from start to finish — and the adventure has only just begun.
